Born in Indiana, lived several years in the west 'burbs of Chicago, HS, college and early professional years in WI (On Wisconsin!) I now live on the north shore of Boston with my wife and cat. I teach middle school band in Danvers (hrmsbands.com), have served 19 years in Army National Guard, currently the 215th Army Band (215tharmyband.com) and I'm working towards a masters in music education at UNH.

I like to rock! I was educated in school music as a drummer, studied percussion at the University of Wisconsin, and in bands I've been the drummer and singer- that is until 2002. That's when my guitar playing developed to the point at which I could front the band! Started a rock band in 132d Army Band in Madison, WI, and carried that over to the 215th Army Band in MA, where I'm currently the rhythm guitarist and singer. My drumming is ever improving, as I teach a young crop of musicians in Danvers, MA, which keeps up my chops.

I'm not all about the rock, though. As a classicaly trained musician I love the best music the world has to give us. In fact, I love good music, regardless of the labels we might attach. But my ipod has, besides my favorite podcasts, mostly my favorite rock (includes metal), country, classical and jazz from my collection. I dig some of the pod-safe stuff I hear on Curry (well, less of his selections), Yoshimoto-Nemkof and Butler, but I no longer crave the new stuff. That's me in a nutshell!
